How does SanEtizeIT's trash cleaning service work?
The SanEtizeIT crew comes to your neighborhood once every month, the day immediately following a regular trash collection day. This INCLUDES Saturday if your collection day is on a Friday.
There is no need for you to be at home. Just leave the trash cans at the curb, by 8 a.m. the morning of service and our green eco-friendly wash truck will clean, deodorize and sanitize the trash cans right at your curb.
How much does it cost?
Do I have to pre-pay for the entire year?
No, your card will only be billed after each scheduled service. You’ll also receive an emailed receipt, which acts as a reminder for your upcoming service.
If I sign up, when will I get service?
Let us know how you’d like us to remind you. We’ll contact you the day before we come to your home. We can call, text, email you – or all three.
If you absolutely can’t wait until the next time our trucks are scheduled for your neighborhood, we do offer “Emergency Service” – call or email us and we will provide a quote for the additional fees.
Do you provide a one time trash can cleaning service?
Yes. The cost is slightly higher because trash cans which are not being cleaned regularly, will take much longer to clean.
Can I alternate or rotate cans each cleaning cycle?
What if my HOA will not allow my cans out past a certain time on trash collection day..and certainly not the day after?
There are two possible solutions to this problem:
- You can leave your trash cans up by the garage, the side of the house, or anywhere where we can reasonably have access to them without needing to walk inside an enclosure. We will return them to that same spot when we finish our work. We will only go behind a gate if you give us authorization to do so.
- In addition, you can give us the contact information to the HOA Board and/or Manager and we will be happy to give them a call to see if we can come up with a solution. Many HOA’s work with us once they understand the health and aesthetic benefits of our service. Quite often the HOAs ask us to come back and serve their entire community and we’re happy to do so at discounted rates.
What if I am away and cannot have my empty trash cans available to you on my service day?
How will I know when my trash cans have been cleaned at it is OK to bring them inside?
This is the best part! They’ll look new and smell fresh and clean. In addition, you’ll receive a service confirmation email letting you know that the cans are cleaned, sanitized and deodorized.
What does SanEtizeIT do with the dirty water that's captured during each day?
Great question! At the end of each workday SanEtizeIT disposes all wash water in an approved manner. The water is processed at local sewage treatment plants and can be used for reclaimed water for irrigation purposes within the communities we serve.
What if your truck does not show up on my scheduled cleaning day?
We do our very best to ensure our trucks and the SanEtizeIT crew will always be available. In the unlikely event this were to happen, we would let you know as soon as possible and try to reschedule service. If this is not possible, we will not charge you and see you the following month.
What if I forget my schedule?
No problem. When you initially schedule service we ask for your contact information. The day before our green eco-friendly wash trucks come to your neighborhood we will call, text, email (or all three) depending on your preference.
Do you offer a commercial service?
Are there any terms of service I should be aware of? What are my responsibilities?
Please view Customer Responsibilities.
Does your company remove paint or other dried materials from inside my trash can?
Are the cleaning products you use safe for the environment?
Why don't my trash bins look completely clean after you cleaned them?
When will I be charged for my service?
Why should I hire you to clean my garbage cans? Why not do it myself?
It is safe to say the thorough cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing of trash cans is a very unpleasant job. However besides the germs, bacteria, viruses and noxious odors lurking in your trash bins there are other reasons to get your trash bins professionally cleaned.
The storm drain system, including the streets, curbs, gutters, ditches, man-made channels, storm drain inlets and other facilities it includes, prohibits anything but storm water – water from rain – from entering the system.
(Municipal Code 43.0302)
The Regional Water Quality Control Board requires the City to adopt and implement an ordinance providing the City with the authority to require best management practices to prevent discharges of pollutants into the storm drain system and to enforce against any illegal discharges of non-storm water and/or pollutants into the storm drain system. The City has included that ordinance as part of the Municipal Code, and it gives the City the necessary tools required to protect our local waterways and beaches from pollutants.
